***NOTICE:  Club Meeting***

There will be a club meeting held on Tuesday 2nd September at 8pm in Banbridge Leisure Centre.  All club members should please attend. 


 Roger Back in National Colours  

Reigning Irish Cyclo Cross Champ Banbridge CC member, Roger Aiken, will line up against some of the worlds best this week when he starts the 2008 edition of the Tour of Ireland.

Mark in Golden Form

Banbridge CC rider Mark Downey scored an impressive two Golds and a Silver medal at the recent National Underage Championships. Mark, the latest star of the Downey stables in Dromore, scored his two gold medals in the under 12 Criterium and Time Trial Champs and also picked up the Silver in the Under 12 Road Race.

Also competing at the Championships was Banbridge CC’s James Curry, finishing just outside the medal positions with a 4th in the Under 11 Road Race and two 6th places in the Under 11 Time Trial and Criterium.

Congratulations to the young Banbridge riders on their strong performances.

 Beggsy's Beijing Bound  

Banbridge CC’s head Coach, Gerry Beggs, set out for Beijeng at the weekend as part of the Irish Paralympic Cycling Squad. Gerry’s technical expertise will be relied upon as the Team Mechanic, although we all know he provide much more than this!

The Irish Paralympic Cycling Squad has had a fantastic year so far with a tremendous amount of progress. All those at Banbridge CC wish the squad the best of luck at the games.

 2008 Club Clothing

Please see below message from Seamus Downey who will be managing the club clothing range for 2008:

My supplier has told me that if I order the skinsuits now they will arrive with the rest of the clothing at the end of April. I am prepared to order the minimum number of 20, if I can get deposits for at least 10, the full cost is £70. Maybe you can pass the word around and get the deposits to me asap / by end of week?
 
Note: Club clothing arriving:

55 x Sort Sleeve Jerseys (£29)

55 x Bib Shorts (£39)

200 x Socks (£8)

50 x Mits (£15)

20 x SkinSuits (£70) - dependant on deposits being paid.

All club clothing will be sold on a first come, first served basis, unless deposits are paid to hold items.
